Ingredients

For the marinade
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces swordfish steaks (about 6 ounces each)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • as needed Lemon wedges (for serving)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each steak is coated well. Let marinate for at least 15-20 minutes.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high and oil the grates lightly to prevent sticking.
  2. Remove the swordfish from the marinade and place them on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the fish is opaque and easily flakes with a fork.
  3. Once done, remove from the grill, garnish with fresh chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate for up to an hour if time allows. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet with olive oil to maintain moisture.
