Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, oats, and chopped nuts. Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture resembles crumbly sand.
- Lightly grease a baking dish, then pour the pumpkin filling into it, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the topping generously over the pumpkin layer.
Baking
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the crisp cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy it warm with a scoop of ice cream if desired.
Notes
For gluten-free, use almond or coconut flour. For nut-free, omit nuts or use seeds instead. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat for 10-15 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to restore crispness.
