Ingredients

Steak
  • 1.5 to 2 pounds Steak (your choice of cut, such as ribeye or sirloin) Choose high-quality meat for the best results.
Seasoning
  • 1-2 tablespoons Salt To taste
  • 1-2 teaspoons Black pepper To taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil or butter For rubbing the steak
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic (optional, minced) For extra flavor
  • A few sprigs Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional) For garnishing

Method

Preparation
  1. Remove the steak from the fridge and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps it cook evenly.
  2. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel.
Seasoning
  1. Rub the steak with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle salt and black pepper all over. If using garlic, rub it on as well.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your Blackstone griddle over high heat for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Place the seasoned steak on the hot griddle and allow it to sear for about 4-5 minutes without moving it.
  3. Flip the steak over and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your preferred doneness.
Resting and Serving
  1. Once cooked to your preference, transfer the steak to a plate and cover it with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Slice the steak against the grain, sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired, and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat gently on the griddle or skillet over low heat.
