Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk Can substitute with homemade buttermilk if needed.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Flavoring
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for topping)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Topping and Baking
  1. In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  3. Cool for a few minutes, slice into squares, and serve warm.

Notes

You can add nuts or fruit for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days.
