  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is soft, but not melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs Add one at a time
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped Use fresh nuts for best flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring they are fully incorporated before adding the next.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until everything is well combined.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips and chopped macadamia nuts, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Freeze for up to three months. Reheat in microwave or oven for a fresh taste.
