Cracker Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Topping Ingredients
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Ensure they're Halal-compliant
  • 1/4 cup additional granulated sugar for topping
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for topping

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the melted butter into the dry mixture and stir until combined. The dough should be thick yet pliable.
  4. Take small portions of the dough and flatten them into cracker shapes on your prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  2. While the crackers are baking, mix the additional granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  3. Once the crackers are done baking, remove them from the oven and immediately dust them with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Finishing Touches
  1. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  2. Use a fork to drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled crackers, allowing it to set.
  3. Let the crackers cool completely to allow the chocolate to set before serving.

Notes

Store the crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or freeze for up to one month.
