Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan (9x9) with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy. Add vegetable oil and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.
- Gently stir in dark and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- In another bowl, whip the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add a tablespoon of the batter to the cream cheese mixture and stir until combined.
- Pour half of the chocolate batter into the prepared pan, dollop the cream cheese mixture over it, and swirl gently. Add the remaining chocolate batter on top.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow cooling completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
These cake bars can be served with vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
