Preparation
- Start by hulking and slicing your fresh strawberries. Place them in a mixing bowl and mash them with a fork or potato masher until they reach a smooth consistency.
- Brew your coffee using your preferred method while you mash the strawberries.
- Add sugar to the mashed strawberries and mix well. Let it sit for a few minutes to draw out the juices.
- In a large glass, combine the brewed coffee with the sweetened strawberry mash. Gently stir to mix.
- Add whipped cream generously on top of the coffee-strawberry mixture, swirling to create a marbled effect.
- Finish off with a sprinkle of crushed strawberries on top. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a vegan version, use plant-based whipped cream and non-dairy milk. Consume fresh for the best taste, and store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, keeping the whipped cream on the side.
