Preheat and Prepare the Mold: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a cake mold and place butter paper in the bottom, then flour the sides to avoid sticking.
Prepare the Buttermilk: Mix the milk with lemon juice and let it stand for about 15 minutes. This will give you that tangy buttermilk flavor.
Prepare the Dough: Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in one bowl. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla essence together. Gradually add the dry ingredients in two parts, mixing gently. Add the sugar and combine until smooth.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared mold and bake for approximately 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow it to cool in the mold for around 10 minutes before moving it to a rack.
Prepare the Filling: In a pot, melt the butter. Add the condensed milk and powdered milk, stirring until combined. Then, fold in the chopped strawberries to add that fresh fruitiness!
Assemble and Decorate: Cut the cake into two or three layers. Fill the layers with your strawberry filling, then cover the entire cake with melted chocolate or any icing of your choice to finish it off.
