Ingredients

For the popsicles
  • 4 cups watermelon, diced and seeds removed Ensure your watermelon is ripe and sweet for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Optional, based on your taste preference.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Optional for an extra zest.
  • 1 set Popsicle molds Necessary for shaping the popsicles.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting your ripe watermelon into chunks, making sure to remove all seeds.
  2. In a blender or food processor, add the diced watermelon. If using sugar and lime juice, add those as well. Blend the mixture until smooth, leaving some small chunks for added texture if desired.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or acidity by adding more sugar or lime juice as needed.
  4. Carefully pour the blended watermelon mixture into your popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion during freezing.
  5. If your molds require sticks, insert them now.
  6. Place the molds upright in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours or until completely frozen.
  7. To remove the popsicles, run warm water over the outside of the mold for a few seconds. Then pull them out and enjoy!

Notes

Optional: Add coconut flakes or a dash of chili powder for a unique twist. Store in molds or wrap individually in plastic wrap; last up to a month.
