  • 4 cups cold water Consider using coconut water for added flavor.

Preparation
  1. Blend the cubed watermelon in a blender until smooth, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  2. Strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer to separate the juice from the pulp for a smoother texture.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the strained watermelon juice and fresh lemon juice.
  4. Gradually add sugar, stirring well and tasting as you go to adjust sweetness.
  5. Pour in the cold water and stir until well combined.
  6. Fill glassware with ice cubes, pour in the watermelon lemonade, and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
  7. Sip and savor this delightful, homemade drink!

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days in an airtight container. For longer storage, freeze watermelon juice in ice cube trays to blend later with water and a splash of lemon juice.
