Preparation
- Crumble the firm tofu into a large mixing bowl. Add the chopped chives, minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until everything is combined.
- Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about a teaspoon of the tofu mixture in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it over to create a triangle. Press to seal tightly, ensuring no filling escapes. Repeat until all the filling is used.
Cooking
- In a large pot, bring the vegetable broth to a gentle boil. Carefully drop the wontons into the broth, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Allow the wontons to cook for about 5-7 minutes or until they float to the top.
- Once the wontons are cooked, stir in the chili paste, adjusting the amount according to your spice preference. Stir gently to incorporate.
Serving
- Ladle the wonton soup into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions. Enjoy the warmth and flavor of your delicious creations!
Notes
For ideal results, ensure wontons are sealed tightly to avoid opening during cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To freeze, arrange uncooked wontons on a baking sheet and transfer to a freezer-safe bag once frozen solid.
