Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and white sugar until light and fluffy (2 to 3 minutes).
- Add in one egg and the vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until well mixed.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until fully combined. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
- Mix in the milk until the dough reaches the right consistency, then gently fold in the sprinkles.
Baking
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto greased baking sheets, ensuring they are spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for about 8-10 minutes until the cookies are slightly golden at the edges.
- Once removed from the oven, let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use softened butter for best results. Feel free to swap sprinkles with mini chocolate chips or other toppings. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
