Baking Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Mixing Ingredients
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and white sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until perfectly blended.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix to keep the cookies tender.
- Gently fold in the sprinkles—you want them to stay vibrant, not melt away!
Baking Cookies
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop rounded balls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are just starting to turn golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds or in a preheated oven at 350°F for a few minutes.
