Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary, then sprinkle in the taco seasoning and stir well. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
- While the meat is cooking, lightly grease a muffin tin and mold each tortilla into the shape of a cup, pressing it into the muffin slots.
Cooking
- Once the meat mixture is ready, fill each tortilla cup with a generous scoop of the seasoned meat and top with shredded cheese.
- Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortilla cups are golden brown.
Serving
- Remove the taco cups from the oven and let them cool slightly before adding your favorite toppings: chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños, and fresh cilantro.
- Serve and enjoy your deliciously crunchy taco cups!
Notes
Substitutions include shredded chicken or lentils for a meatless version. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for about a month.
