Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Combine the granulated sugar and melted butter in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well-combined.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter and sugar mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
  2. Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy!

Notes
