Main ingredients
  • 2 cups milk (or non-dairy milk like almond or oat) Feel free to use any non-dairy milk variety.
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric Can substitute with fresh turmeric, finely grated.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger Can substitute with fresh ginger, finely grated.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon Add more for extra flavor if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 pinch black pepper Enhances curcumin absorption.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, pour in the milk and warm it over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent it from scalding.
  2. Once the milk is warm, sprinkle in the ground turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. Add the pinch of black pepper.
  3. Stir in the honey or maple syrup, adjusting the sweetness to your taste.
  4. For a frothy latte, pour the mixture into a blender and blend until frothy, or whisk vigorously in the saucepan.
  5. Pour the Turmeric Latte into your favorite mug, sprinkle a touch of cinnamon on top, and enjoy it immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving. Freshly made is best for optimal flavor.
