  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Substitute with nutritional yeast for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season generously for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 jar marinara sauce For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until just combined.
  3. Scoop out portions and roll them into meatballs, aiming for about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a separate pot.
  6. Once the meatballs are ready, add them to the marinara sauce and let simmer for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with extra parsley or Parmesan on top before serving.

Notes

Store leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze in a single layer before transferring to freezer-safe bags for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes.
