Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1/4 cup softened butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the 2 eggs, one at a time, ensuring they're fully incorporated before adding the next.
- Gradually add 1 cup of milk, 1/4 cup lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon lemon zest, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently to avoid overmixing.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until set and slightly golden.
- Allow the dessert to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Optionally, sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
Notes
