Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise. If you prefer smaller servings, cut it into individual pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir well until combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- If using, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the edges of the bread are golden and toasted.
Serving
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. To reheat, place individual slices on a baking tray at 350°F for 5-7 minutes or microwave for 15-20 seconds. For freezing, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil for up to 1 month.
