  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and combine well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing well.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop portions of dough (about 2 tablespoons each) onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers appear slightly underbaked.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
