For the mousse
  • 1 cup heavy cream Make sure it's cold for better whipping.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 oz. chocolate Choose your flavor (dark, milk, or white).
  • a pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Preparation
  1. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until completely melted. Stir until smooth and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. In another bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt. Using a hand mixer, whisk until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in the vanilla extract with a spatula to incorporate.
  4. Take the slightly cooled chocolate and fold it into the whipped cream mixture gently to retain the fluffy texture.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  6. Before serving, add your favorite toppings—berries, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

Notes

Use cold ingredients for better whipping results and avoid over-whipping the cream. Feel free to experiment with different flavors like espresso or fruit puree.
