Mushroom Caps
  • 12 large large mushrooms Choose firm mushrooms for stuffing.
Cheese Mixture
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds a fragrant touch.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese For rich flavor.
Fillers
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free for a GF version.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms by wiping with a damp cloth and remove the stems.
  3. Finely chop the mushroom stems.
Mixing Stuffing
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped mushroom stems, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Assembling
  1. Generously fill each mushroom cap with the cream cheese mixture.
  2. Arrange stuffed mushrooms on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and tops are golden.
  2. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a crispier topping, broil the mushrooms for a minute or two after baking. Allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
