Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, and water. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder until creamy.
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour half of the cake batter into the dish, then spread the ricotta mixture on top. Finally, pour the remaining cake batter over the ricotta mixture.
- If you’re feeling adventurous, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Once done, allow the cake to cool slightly. Dust generously with powdered sugar before slicing.
