Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time, stirring in the vanilla extract afterward.
Mixing
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution throughout the batter.
Baking
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Once baked, let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature. For longer shelf life, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Thaw at room temperature or reheat in the microwave for a gooey texture.
