Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Wings
  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats combined) Make sure they are thoroughly thawed and dry.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper Use to your preference.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Honey BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Use your favorite Halal brand.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Halal-friendly, optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Lay the seasoned wings on the wire rack in a single layer, making sure they aren’t touching.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. While the wings bake, mix honey, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
  3. After 25 minutes, remove the wings from the oven and brush them generously with the honey BBQ sauce mixture. Reserve some sauce for later if desired.
  4. Return the coated wings to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Pair with your favorite dipping sauce if desired.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes.
