- In a large bowl, mix the yogurt, vegetable oil, lemon juice, garam masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
Cooking
- Preheat your grill or oven to high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and has a slight char.
Serving
- Remove the skewers from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro, and enjoy with naan or rice!
Notes
Allow overnight marination for the best flavor. Serve with turmeric rice, cucumber salad, or naan bread. A mint yogurt sauce can enhance flavors significantly. Perfect with mango lassi or iced tea.
