  • 4 medium tomatillos, husked and rinsed Make sure to thoroughly rinse your tomatillos to remove their sticky residue.
  • 2 jalapeños, deseeded and coarsely chopped Adjust the number of jalapeños based on your heat preference.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by prepping your tomatillos by removing the husks and washing them thoroughly.
  2. Chop the jalapeños and cilantro and mince the garlic.
Mixing
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the tomatillos, jalapeños, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and salt.
Blending
  1. If you prefer a smooth consistency, use a food processor to blend together until you reach your desired smoothness.
  2. If you enjoy a chunkier texture, give it a few quick pulses or mix it by hand.
Tasting and Adjusting
  1. Always taste your salsa before serving and adjust the salt or lime juice as necessary.
Chilling
  1. Allow the flavors to meld together by letting it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

For optimal freshness, use your Taco Salsa within 2 to 3 days. Consider freezing in small portions for up to 2 months.
