Equipment

  • - Large skillet
  • - Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • For the Beef Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade blend
  • ½ cup water
  • For the Burritos
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup nacho cheese sauce
  • ½ cup sour cream optional
  • For Garnish
  • Fresh cilantro chopped
  • Salsa or hot sauce optional

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cook the Beef
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  • Step 2: Assemble the Burritos
  • Warm the tortillas in the microwave or on a skillet to make them pliable. Spread a layer of cooked rice in the center of each tortilla. Top with the seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, nacho cheese sauce, and sour cream (if using).
  • Step 3: Fold the Burritos
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a burrito.
  • Step 4: Serve & Enjoy
  • Serve the burritos immediately, garnished with fresh cilantro and salsa or hot sauce if desired.
