- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

- In another large bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, mixing until well blended.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Use a cookie scoop to drop dough onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges turn a light golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- If using, whip up some frosting and drizzle over the cooled cookies.
