  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Maple syrup can be used for a vegan option.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Garlic powder can be substituted if needed.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • optional Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing your Brussels sprouts under cold water. Trim the ends and cut them in half.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, honey or maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cooking
  1. On a large baking sheet, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with the glaze until well coated.
  2. Spread them out evenly in a single layer.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes. Halfway through, give them a stir.
  4. Once they’re beautifully golden brown and tender, remove them from the oven.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze them flat before transferring to a freezer-safe container. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes or in a skillet.
