  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast

  • 1/2 cup milk (warmed)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 tablespoon instant yeast. Whisk together until well blended.
  2. Gradually add in the warmed milk, melted butter, and egg. Stir until a dough starts to form.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and allow it to rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the surface.
  7. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the short ends. Pinch the seams to seal.
  8. Place the rolled dough into a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
