Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 tablespoon instant yeast. Whisk together until well blended.
- Gradually add in the warmed milk, melted butter, and egg. Stir until a dough starts to form.
- Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and allow it to rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the surface.
- Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the short ends. Pinch the seams to seal.
- Place the rolled dough into a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
