Ingredients
  

Pasta and Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb steak of choice, thinly sliced Sirloin or flank steak recommended for tenderness.
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes Adjust to taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining the pasta.
Sautéing the Steak
  1. While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper.
  3. When the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet.
  4. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Creating the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the minced garlic.
  2. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Then, stir in honey and red pepper flakes. Cook for another minute.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the cooked pasta and steak back into the skillet, tossing everything together.
  2. If the dish seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until reaching your desired consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serving
  1. Plate the pasta, garnishing with chopped parsley and grated parmesan cheese if desired.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of water or olive oil. This dish freezes well for up to 2 months.
