Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (for a vegan option)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (ensure it’s halal-certified)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (add more for extra heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, place the cauliflower florets. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat them evenly.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey (or maple syrup), soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cauliflower and toss everything together until the florets are nicely coated.
  5. Spread the cauliflower in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Once golden brown and tender, remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

Experiment with Spices: Swap chili powder for paprika or cayenne for extra kick. Keep an Eye on Timing: Watch your cauliflower towards the end of baking to prevent burning. Batch Cooking: Make a double batch to enjoy throughout the week.
