Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then beat until fully combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined.
  6. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and spread the dough evenly in the pan.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
Cooling and Frosting
  1. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan before adding frosting or toppings.

Notes

For dairy-free options, use coconut oil or plant-based butter. These bars are best enjoyed slightly underdone. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days or freeze for longer storage.
