Ingredients
  

For the Croissants
  • 1 package mini croissant dough Pre-packaged mini croissant dough.
  • 1 cup cream cheese Softened.
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled halal-friendly beef bacon or turkey bacon Choose based on preference.
  • 1/4 cup chives Chopped.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella.
  • 1 each egg For the egg wash.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, crumbled beef bacon or turkey bacon, chopped chives, and shredded cheese until well combined.
  3. Unroll the mini croissant dough on a clean surface and separate the pieces.
Assembly
  1. Take a piece of dough and place about a tablespoon of filling on the wider end of the triangle.
  2. Starting from the wide end, roll the dough toward the narrow tip, enclosing the filling as you go. Pinch the ends to seal.
  3. Arrange the rolled croissants on a baking sheet, leaving some space in between.
  4. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the top of each croissant.
Baking
  1. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and flaky.
  2. Let the croissants cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Substitutions include using halal chicken sausage or sautéed mushrooms for a vegetarian option. Avoid overfilling the croissants.
