Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, crumbled beef bacon or turkey bacon, chopped chives, and shredded cheese until well combined.
- Unroll the mini croissant dough on a clean surface and separate the pieces.
Assembly
- Take a piece of dough and place about a tablespoon of filling on the wider end of the triangle.
- Starting from the wide end, roll the dough toward the narrow tip, enclosing the filling as you go. Pinch the ends to seal.
- Arrange the rolled croissants on a baking sheet, leaving some space in between.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the top of each croissant.
Baking
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and flaky.
- Let the croissants cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Substitutions include using halal chicken sausage or sautéed mushrooms for a vegetarian option. Avoid overfilling the croissants.
