  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped Freshly chopped enhances flavor.

  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup For topping.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even cooking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onions, minced garlic, chopped parsley, eggs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands.
  3. Shape about two-thirds of the mixture into a rectangular loaf on a clean surface.
  4. Place the shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of the shaped loaf.
  5. Use the remaining meat mixture to cover the cheese, molding it back into a loaf shape.
  6. Spread the ketchup evenly over the top before baking.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing for easier serving.

Notes

Substitutions can include ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option, ensure Halal certification. Avoid over-mixing the meat mixture to prevent a tough texture. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days or frozen for three months.
