Ingredients

Salad Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh baby spinach Washed and dried thoroughly
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries Sliced
  • ½ cup feta cheese Crumble
  • ½ cup almonds or walnuts Sliced or roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion Thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinaigrette Or your favorite salad dressing
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the spinach by rinsing the baby spinach leaves under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess water.
  2. Carefully slice the fresh strawberries and set them aside in a bowl.
  3. In a large salad bowl, combine the spinach, sliced strawberries, crumbled feta cheese, and sliced or chopped nuts.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the salad. Start with a little and add more as needed.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper according to your taste, tasting as you go.
  6. Gently toss the salad until everything is well combined, being careful not to squash the strawberries.
  7. Serve immediately for maximum freshness.

Notes

For substitutions, use goat cheese instead of feta or omit cheese for a dairy-free option. Prepare just before serving to keep greens crisp. Avoid overdressing the salad.
