Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness based on the natural sweetness of strawberries.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • a pinch of salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Hull and slice the fresh strawberries to maximize juiciness and ensure they blend smoothly.
  2. In a blender or food processor, add the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if necessary. Blend again to incorporate.
  4. Pour the mixture into a bowl and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  5. Transfer the chilled mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve texture, or freeze in a shallow dish and stir every 30 minutes until firm.
  6. Once the sorbet is frozen to your desired consistency, scoop it into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

For serving, consider pairing Strawberry Sorbet with gourmet cookies or sparkling wine for a delightful contrast. To store leftovers, place in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week. If too hard to scoop, let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
