Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add in the melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk until a dough forms. Don’t overmix!
Rolling Out
  1. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
Filling
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries.
Assembling
  1. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the rolled dough, leaving a little space at the edges.
  2. Starting from one of the long edges, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
Baking
  1. Use a sharp knife to slice the log into individual rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream and extra strawberries if desired!

Notes

Ensure you use room-temperature cream cheese for a smoother filling. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
