Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add in the melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk until a dough forms. Don’t overmix!
Rolling Out
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
Filling
- In a separate bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold in the sliced strawberries.
Assembling
- Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the rolled dough, leaving a little space at the edges.
- Starting from one of the long edges, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
Baking
- Use a sharp knife to slice the log into individual rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
- Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream and extra strawberries if desired!
Notes
Ensure you use room-temperature cream cheese for a smoother filling. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
