Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the cookie dough into two bowls. Mix matcha powder into one bowl, and fold pureed strawberries into the other.
Baking
- Scoop a dollop of each color of dough and place them next to each other on the prepared baking sheet.
- Use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the two colors together, creating marbled effects.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Cookies can be served with milk or tea. You may add toppings such as sea salt or white chocolate drizzle for enhanced flavor.
