Ingredients

For the Strawberry Puree
  • 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen) Wash and hull if using fresh. Lightly thaw if using frozen.
  • 2 tablespoons sweetener (honey, sugar, or syrup) Adjust to taste.
For the Matcha Latte
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder Use high-quality matcha for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup milk (or non-dairy milk) Choose almond or oat milk for better flavor pairing.
  • Ice cubes Ice cubes (optional) Add if making an iced version.

Method

Preparation
  1. If using fresh strawberries, wash and hull them. If using frozen, allow them to lightly thaw. Blend strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sweetener until smooth.
  2. Sift 1 tablespoon of matcha powder into a small bowl. Add a splash of hot water (not boiling) and whisk until smooth and creamy.
Combining
  1. Pour the milk (or non-dairy alternative) into a glass, then follow with the sweetened strawberry purée. For an iced version, add ice cubes before pouring.
  2. Gently pour the matcha mixture over the strawberry and milk blend to create a layered effect.
  3. Stir gently before drinking to combine flavors, or enjoy it layer by layer.

Notes

For added flavor, drizzle honey on top or sprinkle with almond flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
