Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice (preferably freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust to taste, you can use honey or a sugar substitute.
  • 1 cup water

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the strawberries, hull them, and slice them into halves or quarters.
Blending
  1. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, lemon juice, sugar, and water. Blend until smooth.
Chilling
  1. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish, cover it, and place it in the freezer for about 2-3 hours, or until it starts to freeze.
Fluffing
  1. Once partially frozen, take it out and use a fork to scrape and mix the frozen edges into the center for a fluffy texture.
Final Freeze
  1. Return the mixture to the freezer for another 2-3 hours, or until fully set.
Serving
  1. Scoop into bowls and enjoy! Garnish with your favorite fruits or a sprinkle of mint if desired.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. Let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping to maintain texture.
