Ingredients
  

For the Strawberry Purée
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste) Adjust sweetness as desired.
For the Drink
  • 1 cup soda water or lemon-lime soda
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • optional whipped cream For topping.
  • optional fresh mint leaves For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation of Strawberries
  1. Start by washing and hulling the fresh strawberries. Slice them into small pieces and place them in a bowl.
Sweetening Up
  1. Sprinkle the sugar over the strawberries, then gently mash them with a fork for about 1-2 minutes to create a sweet strawberry puree!
Create the Soda Base
  1. In a tall glass, add the mashed strawberries at the bottom.
Pour in the Soda
  1. Slowly add the soda water or lemon-lime soda to the glass, giving it a gentle stir for mixing.
Ice Cream Indulgence
  1. Carefully scoop a generous serving of vanilla ice cream on top of the soda and strawberries.
Finishing Touches
  1. Add a dollop of whipped cream on top (if desired) and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
