Ingredients
  

For the Strawberry Mixture
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, hulled and sliced Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
For the Drink
  • 2 cups Soda Water or Lemon-Lime Soda Use as desired.
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes To keep the drink frosty.
  • as desired Whipped Cream For topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar. Allow them to sit for about 10 minutes to let the sugar draw out their natural juices.
Assembly
  1. In a glass, add a layer of the sugary strawberry mixture along with some ice cubes, filling it about a third of the way.
  2. Pour soda water or lemon-lime soda over the ice until it’s nearly full.
Topping
  1. Generously dollop whipped cream on top of the drink to create a creamy layer.
Serving
  1. Grab a straw or spoon, give it a little stir, and enjoy your refreshing Strawberry Cream Soda!

Notes

This drink pairs well with light salads, grilled chicken sandwiches, or vanilla pound cake. Store leftover strawberry syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 days, but consume the soda immediately once mixed.
