Ingredients
  

Salad Base
  • 3 cups fresh spinach, rinsed and dried
Fruits
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup blackberries, rinsed
Toppings
  • ½ cup pecans, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 pound beef strips, cooked (Halal-friendly)
Dressing & Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients. Rinse the spinach, strawberries, and blackberries thoroughly. Peel and slice your strawberries. Cook your beef strips according to your preference (grilling or sautéing works wonderfully).
Assembly
  1. In a large salad bowl, add the fresh spinach leaves as your base.
  2. Sprinkle the sliced strawberries and blackberries on top of the spinach.
  3. Add the cooked beef strips over the fruit, followed by crumbled feta cheese.
  4. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad. Season with salt and pepper. Toss the salad lightly to combine.
  5. Sprinkle the pecans over the top for crunch. Serve immediately.

Notes

For optimal freshness, prepare ingredients just before serving. Keep dressing separate until ready to enjoy. Substitute beef with grilled chicken or tofu if desired. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
