Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup Can use Halal-certified if needed.
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Can use Halal-certified if needed.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish Optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, ground ginger, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Add the chicken wings into the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  2. After 30 minutes, take the wings out and brush them generously with the remaining marinade. Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the wings are caramelized and crispy.
  3. Once done, remove the wings from the oven, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

Consider substituting honey for half of the maple syrup for added flavor. Ensure not to overcrowd the baking sheet when cooking.
