  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini) Use your favorite pasta type
  • 1 lb halal sausage Sliced into rounds
Sauce Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Or a halal alternative
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the sausage
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Optional, for a spicy kick
  • Salt and pepper To taste
Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions For garnish

Preparation
  1. Start by cooking the pasta according to package instructions. Make sure to season the water with salt for added flavor. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced halal sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the sausage cooks, mix the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and crushed red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  4. Once the sausage is browned, pour the honey-garlic mixture over it. Stir well to coat the sausage, and then add the cooked pasta. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated.
  5. Taste the dish and add salt and pepper as necessary.
  6. Plate your pasta and garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh touch. Enjoy warm with your loved ones.

Notes

Substitutions available for halal sausage, use chicken, turkey, or plant-based proteins. Reserve some pasta cooking water for a better sauce consistency.
