Steamed Broccoli and Carrots with Boiled Eggs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head of broccoli cut into florets
  • 2 carrots sliced into sticks
  • 2 eggs soft to medium boiled
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets and slice the carrots into sticks.
  2. Steam the Veggies: Fill a pot with a few inches of water and set a steamer basket over it. Bring the water to a boil. Add the broccoli and carrots to the steamer. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still vibrant in color.
  3. Boil the Eggs: While the veggies are steaming, bring another pot of water to a soft boil. Carefully add the eggs and cook for 6-8 minutes for soft to medium boiled. Once done, transfer them to an ice bath to cool.
  4. Serve the Dish: Peel the eggs and cut them in half. Serve the steamed veggies on a plate, lay the eggs on top, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy your wholesome meal!
