Ingredients

For the meatballs
  • 1 lb ground chicken For a juicy base
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs To help bind
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions For a fresh touch
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Because garlic makes everything better!
  • 1 large egg To bind the ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce For that perfect heat
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce A savory depth
  • 1 tablespoon honey For a touch of sweetness
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, egg, 2 tablespoons of Sriracha, soy sauce, honey, salt, and pepper. Use your hands (or a spatula) to mix gently until just combined; don't overmix!
  3. Scoop out about 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. To serve, drizzle additional Sriracha and honey, and sprinkle with extra green onions if desired.

Notes

Ensure all your ingredients are set before you start. Feel free to adjust the Sriracha if you prefer a milder flavor! Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-12 minutes.
